Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the StepBattle mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by StepBattle LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years of age to use StepBattle. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

2. ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at hello@mystepbattle.com.

3. SUBSCRIPTION & PAYMENTS

• StepBattle requires a paid subscription of $3.99 per month to access full features.
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or platform policies.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Use any automated means, bots, scripts, or tools to artificially inflate step counts
• Cheat, manipulate, or exploit any feature of the app
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload any content that is unlawful, offensive, or violates any third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

5. LEADERBOARDS & COMPETITIONS

StepBattle features public leaderboards displaying usernames and step counts. By participating, you consent to your username and step data being visible to other users. We reserve the right to remove any user from leaderboards for suspected cheating or violation of these Terms.

6. HEALTH DATA

StepBattle accesses step and fitness data from your device with your permission. You are responsible for the accuracy of data synced from third-party health apps. StepBattle is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by StepBattle LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StepBattle LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Maury County, Tennessee.

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
